CANOA®️ is an ancestral object used by several peoples around the world and was the inspiration for this piece designed in 2017 by Ana Neute for itens that, with their attachment to impeccable finishes, have researched over the years the artisans and perfect solutions for luminaire, until you succeed, finally launching it this year at the largest art fair in Latin America.
Between the 24th and 30th of August, the first edition of SP-Arte Viewing Room, the main art fair in Latin America, now in digital environment, takes place. The online event brings together thousands of works of modern and contemporary art, as well as design pieces, presented by more than 130 renowned galleries on the national and international circuit.
itens present its new lamp Canoa, signed by Ana Neute, in the design sector of the online fair. “Observing the simplicity and strength of its vernacular design, the Canoa luminaire designed for the brand itens, carries light inside. Made of solid wood, from the Imbuia ,and Freijó trees, each piece is handcrafted, a true work of art, says Ana Neute ”.
With delicate proportions, its length can reach two meters without seams. The Canoa luminaire, used near the table, emits focused and direct light.
To create rhythm and personalize its use, several pieces in different sizes (62, 112 and 212 centimeters) can be used, exploring alternating heights and overlapping each other.
