SHANGHAI
Designed in 2016 by Ana Neute the SHANGHAI lamp would gain over the years with the creative direction of the estudio itens a collection including a floor lamp, pendant, and wall light. The Shanghai collection relates to the ancient architecture of Chinese pagodas, religious temples that feature overlays on their roofs.
Its main aspect is the juxtaposition of similar forms, giving rhythm to the collection as a whole. The articulation of the domes gives the impression that one floats on top of the other, marking the symmetry and silhouette of the lamps. The overlapping of the lights creates an effect of reflections on the different layers.
The SHANGHAI lamp was exhibited in Milan at the exhibition BRAZIL S.A in 2017 and has since been part of the collection of the Brazilian Embassy in Milan.
